Each pan is structurally perfect, with such small cosmetic imperfections that it feels wasteful to throw them back into the fire.

Made to be handed down, the 20cm Lil and the 28cm Legacy Pans are PFAS, PFOA, and PTFE free and lovingly crafted with the highest grade of iron.

They work on any cooking surface, from induction to campfire, and come with the world’s longest product warranty of 100 years. That is approximately 50 non-stick pans. Or three generations of daily use. In fact, it comes with Ironclad’s trademark Three Generation Guarantee® cast into the base.

These Almost Perfect pans come to you in their silver, unseasoned state. All cast iron starts off as silver, turns a dark bronze after the first bake and goes black with more use and care. Instructions for seasoning at home are super simple and come in the box.

Limited Numbers: This is a super limited run of heavily discounted stock that is so close to perfect we just couldn't bring ourselves to melt them down.

Food-Safe Cast Iron: Every Ironclad cast iron pour is quality tested to meet the highest global food and safety standards, including FDA and California Proposition 65 requirements.

Everything Compatible: Works on all heat sources, including induction, gas, electric, ceramic, BBQ, oven, pizza oven, and campfire.

No Forever Chemicals: Free from PFAS, PFOA, and PTFE.

100-Year Product Warranty: Comes with an extraordinary Three Generation Guarantee®, cast directly into the iron. If your cookware warps, cracks, or loses structural integrity over 100 years of normal daily use, we’ll replace it.

"Normal daily use" means cooking with it, taking it camping, or using it on an oven, BBQ, or campfire. It doesn’t cover things like throwing it into the ocean on a dare, using it as a hammer, eating it, or melting it down for a drink—things of that sort.

Ironclad Vault: Each Ironclad cast iron pan includes free access to the Ironclad Vault®, a secure digital platform to store your warranty info and precious family recipes for generations to come.

Care

These Almost Perfect pans come to you in their silver, unseasoned state. All cast iron starts off as silver, turns a dark bronze after the first bake and goes black with more use and care. Instructions for seasoning at home are super simple and come in the box. Move through these steps without pause:

1. WASH - scrub all over with hot soapy water.

2. DRY - dry thoroughly (some grey residue will come off here) and warm to make sure the iron is dry through.

3. OIL - apply your choice of oil (ideally with a high smoke point, like Grapeseed or Sunflower) or conditioning balm to the entire surface with a dry cloth or paper towel. Wipe excess off. The oil should be rubbed into the iron, not too heavily coated.

4. BAKE - bake on high, upside down in the middle of your oven for at least an hour. We recommend leaving overnight to cool slowly.

Keep dry and lightly oiled between uses. We highly recommend our Homemade Conditioning Balm.

When using a cooktop, ensure you match the size of your element to the size of your Legacy Pan to avoid warping—you'll also get the most efficient and even heat distribution.

Each Legacy comes with its own lifetime account to the Ironclad Vault. A closed digital platform to protect secret family recipes, collate personal favourites, and document the meals your Legacy will prepare for generations to come.

Once the initial seasoning is complete, your daily cleaning ritual is quick and easy.

  1. Wash
Wipe away residue with a dry cloth or paper towel. Rinse and scrub as needed. Dry thoroughly.
  2. Warm
Heat the pan on low to help with seasoning absorption.
  3. Oil
Rub a teaspoon of oil or conditioning balm over the entire surface.
  4. Done
Let cool. Ready to use again and again!

  • Legacy Pan Shorter

Every pour is quality tested to ensure that our cast iron is pure enough to cook with.

In Australia and New Zealand, the cast iron industry remains unregulated, with no specific standards for "Food Grade Cast Iron." While we are working to change that, it’s currently up to each manufacturer to ensure their products are safe. At Ironclad, we choose to meet the highest global standards for cookware, including the requirements set by California Proposition 65 and the FDA.

  • Handcrafted with the same care and quality that defined cast iron cookware of generations past.

Inspired by vintage cast iron pieces from the 1800s, our signature finishing techniques create an elegantly smooth surface that feels almost like ceramic. By carefully grinding and polishing the cooking surface and base, we can create cast iron that is both naturally non-stick and gentle enough for even the most delicate cooktops, including induction.

  • With every Heirloom pan, you receive lifetime access the Ironclad Vault.

The Ironclad Vault is a secure digital platform that stores your Ironclad Guarantee alongside your family’s most treasured recipes.

As part of a thoughtful gift, the Ironclad Vault can also be preloaded with recipes and messages from friends and family. For weddings, anniversaries, or milestone moments.

  • Your purchase not only nourishes your family, it also helps feed a family in need.

A portion of the profit from each Ironclad Cast Iron Pan sold goes to KiwiHarvest, a charity dedicated to rescuing surplus food and distributing it to people facing food insecurity.

At Ironclad, we challenge throwaway culture through the concept of 'generational shopping', creating products that last and stay out of landfill.
