A handle when you need it

One removable handle fits the pot, lid and assembled set. It attaches and detaches easily with one hand, staying away from the heat while dinner cooks.

Cookware: Lennox Hastie Fire Oven Set
Time: 2 minutes
Frequency: Whenever you lift or move the set.

Ingredients

Bale
Skillet
Pot
Food

Method

Attach the bale to either side of the lid or base. It locks into place easily.

Lift the cookware into position, then detach the bale before cooking.

Leave it beside you, away from the heat. The iron needs to get hot. The handle does not.

Attach it again to lift the lid, move the pot or carry the assembled set. It also fits the lid when turned over as a skillet.

If the bale has been left in the heat, use a heatproof glove.

Good to Know

A fixed handle heats up with the cookware. The bale comes away, so it can stay cold while the pot sits over coals or a braise cooks in the oven.

It attaches and detaches easily with one hand. Useful in a busy kitchen, where you may be lifting the lid to check dinner one moment and moving the skillet off the stove the next.

The same handle serves both pieces, separately or together. You can lift either from the fire or barbecue, or move the whole set into the oven.

With the bale removed, there is less to fit around on the stove and inside the oven. At the table, it comes away again, leaving the pot or skillet ready for serving.
