The Lil' Legacy (20cm) is the mini version of the Legacy Pan.

This is a limited run with an unseasoned finish. For cast iron enthusiasts and the health conscious who would like to do their own seasoning, these come as untreated, raw cast iron. Silver. Allowing you to choose the type of oil to season with and controlling exactly what goes into your cookware from the very start.

The Lil’ Legacy works on any cooking surface, from induction to campfire, and comes with the world’s longest product warranty of 100 years. That is approximately 50 non-stick pans. Or three generations of daily use. In fact, it comes with Ironclad’s trademark Three Generation Guarantee® cast into the base.

Instructions for seasoning at home are super simple and come in the box. Move through these steps without pause:

1. WASH - scrub all over with hot soapy water.

2. DRY - dry thoroughly (some grey residue will come off here) and warm to make sure the iron is dry through.

3. OIL - apply your choice of oil (ideally with a high smoke point, like Grapeseed or Sunflower) or conditioning balm to the entire surface with a dry cloth or paper towel. Wipe excess off. The oil should be rubbed into the iron, not too heavily coated.

4. BAKE - bake on high, upside down in the middle of your oven for at least an hour. We recommend leaving overnight to cool slowly.

FAQs

Legacy or Heirloom? What's the difference?

Both our Legacy and Heirloom skillets are 28cm beauties and are handcrafted to last multiple lifetimes. The key difference is in the finish.

Legacy: Think classic cast iron charm. Two surfaces have had our Antique Finish™—the base and the cooking surface. So it's smooth enough to glide on induction, yet with just enough texture to grip your seasoning. A workhorse for everyday cooking.

Heirloom: This is where the magic happens. Our meticulous Antique Finish™ gives it a ceramic-smooth touch and non-stick performance you wouldn't believe. Each one takes hours of hand-polishing, resulting in a pan so beautiful it's practically a work of art.

Ironclad seems like an investment. Will it pay off?

Absolutely! An average non-stick pan should be replaced annually and costs ~$50 a pop. An Ironclad? From $199 and guaranteed for a whopping 100 years. It's not just good for your tastebuds, it's good for your wallet too.

Food-grade cast iron? What's the deal?

Think of your cookware like an ingredient—you want the best quality for your food. There are four types of cast iron, but only grey cast iron is ideal for cookware. At Ironclad, we test every pour for purity and we use only food-safe grey cast iron. Unlike some brands that opt for cheaper, lower-grade iron. Always check with your cookware maker about their materials—they owe you that transparency.

What happens if my Ironclad rusts?

A bit of surface rust is normal, especially if it's been drip-drying. It's easily fixed. A good scrub with soap and steel wool, a wipe with an oiled cloth, or even a run through your oven's cleaning cycle will do the trick. If in doubt, re-season it like new—see our tips page for an easy walk through. If that's too hard, we're always here to help. Just get in touch at hello@ironcladpan.com

Will my Ironclad work on my induction stove top?

Absolutely! Our cast iron loves any heat source: induction, gas, electric, BBQ, even a campfire. Just remember, low and slow is the way to go, especially at first. Too much heat too fast can warp the iron. We recommend matching the induction hob size to fit the pan and putting it on low for a minute or two before cranking.

What causes cast iron to warp?

Usually, it's from using a burner that's too small for the base of the pan, or cranking up the heat too quickly. This creates a hotspot that makes the iron expand unevenly. Minor warping often fixes itself as the pan cools. If it's bad, though, it might not go back to perfectly flat. In that case, you're covered. Just contact us at hello@ironcladpan.com

What if I'm not happy with my Ironclad?

We've got your back for generations. Our Three Generation Guarantee® is the longest product warranty out there. If you, your kids, or even your grandkids aren't happy with the quality of your pan, you can return it for a replacement or refund.

How long till my Ironclad arrives?

Most orders ship within 3-5 business days, except for the Heirloom, which is made to order. You'll see live shipping rates at checkout. We ship worldwide and even cover a good chunk of the shipping costs.

What about import duties and taxes?

We want to ensure a smooth delivery for your Ironclad. For international orders, please be aware that your country may impose additional import duties and taxes. You can estimate these costs by contacting your local customs office before placing your order.
